Three gites with swimming pool in the Ardèche close to Languedoc and Provence.

All properties are equipped with flat screen TVs, DVD players, UK satellite channels, WiFi internet connection and ipod speakers.

La Chataigne

The accommodation consists of an open-plan kitchen with a light and airy lounge / dining area leading out onto the terrace and garden.

The bedroom is spacious and can have either twin beds or a double made up and there is plenty of space for a baby bed.

There is a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge.

The bathroom has a good sized bath with shower attachment, wash basin and WC.

Outside is a private garden, terrace and barbecue.

All accommodation has:

Living area - sofa(s) including one double sofa bed, easy chairs, small tables, dining table and chairs, mini-hifi, board games, books, candles and lanterns.

Open-plan fully equipped kitchen - 4-ring electric hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher (La Grange only), kettle toaster, cafétière and barbecue equipment.

Garden

The 12m x 6m swimming pool (salt water filtration) is situated in the south-facing gardens that slope gently down to the Glueyre River where you can fish for trout, play in the natural rock pools or just enjoy the view.

The pool is cleaned every day and has a large sun terrace with loungers and parasols.

A selection of garden games are available - table tennis, croquet, slide and swing, skittles, boules and garden tennis.

We have a new Massage Cabin in the garden to enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic massage during your stay and also I am a yoga teacher and can teach private classes on request.

Bikes are available for hire.

A small footbridge at the end of the garden leads to the village.

Local attractions and activities

Le Mornet is situated at the edge of the village of Albon d’Ardèche in the heart of the Boutières Park.

Charlotte, one of the owners, is a qualified yoga teacher and offers private yoga sessions.

The village, 500m from the gites, has a village shop and bakery, tabac and bar.

A private tennis court is a 5 minute walk from Le Mournet and we have an arrangement with the owner to rent by the hour for a small fee.

In the village nearby there are tennis courts, canoe-kayaking, restaurants, shops and bars.

The entire area is packed with beautiful walks through chestnut woods and the river meanders down through beautiful gorges ideal for swimming and fishing.

The Ardèche is best known for the majestic gorges of the Ardèche, 50km of spectacular natural beauty perfect for canoe-kayaking, swimming, walking, rock climbing, hang-gliding, abseiling and white water rafting and visit the spectacular Vallon Pont d’Arc - the natural rock arch of the Ardèche Gorges.

Vallon Pont d’Arc - 1 hour 20 minutes,     Aubenas - 1 hour,      Lyon - 2 hours,     Avignon - 2 hours.

We are closed between 15^th October 2011 and 7^th May 2012.

Should you wish to rent two or three of the properties for the same period in mid or low season the following reductions apply:

Any two properties rented: 10% reduction of total price.

All three properties rented: 15% reduction of total price.

There is an additional 5% discount on the second week for two week rentals (in any season).

We only offer discounts for high and peak season under our "Last Minute" offers and for two week rentals we honour the 5% otherwise no other discount if offered for High or Peak season.
