Accommodation

The Farmhouse has a traditional Provençal kitchen which has a beamed ceilings and is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machines, microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, hob and seating for eight people. A child's high chair is available on request.

The sitting room also has a beamed ceiling, with an open fireplace, English and French television, CD player and French doors that open onto the terrace.

The study has a leather sofa and French doors that also open onto the terrace. There is also a door leading from the study to a "cave" cold room (14 degrees) for storage of wine etc.

First floor

There is a Master bedroom with large, super-king sized (queen) Rococo style bed, fitted wardrobes and a large ensuite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. A cot is also available on request for use in the Master bedroom.

There is a second, double bedroom with a fitted wardrobe.

Finally, there is a twin bedroom in beautiful blue design with a fitted wardrobe.

The twin and double bedrooms share a bathroom and toilet and there is also a separate toilet.

The Farmhouse is air-conditioned throughout and Broadband and WiFi are available to guests in the Farmhouse.

Outside

There is a beautiful large pebbled courtyard with mature trees and shrubs which is totally private, and is entered through a high gate leading to a secure gated parking area which is shared with two villas.

The courtyard is south facing and has three areas to sit and/or eat and drink.

It has a large terrace which has a shaded overhang covered in Jasmine and other flora and there is a barbecue and pizza oven. The terrace has an outside wooden table and chairs capable of seating eight people.

The swimming pool is at the side of the Farmhouse, is private and has a low slung wall and a gate around it, and a terraced area alongside with sun loungers.

There is also a separate shower and toilet opposite the swimming pool.

Local area

Being on the outskirts of Cavaillon, a large and bustling Provençal town, you have easy access to all the facilities a large town has to offer whilst also having the beautiful Provençal countryside on your doorstep.

Le Mas du Coq is 10 minutes from the A7 Auto route, 30 minutes to Avignon TGV station, 35 minutes from Marseille airport, 60 minutes from Nimes airport and mere 5 minutes drive to Cavaillon train station.

This property offers an ideal base from which to discover the many wonders of Provence.

The Luberon National Park in Provence, which is also on your doorstep, is renowned for its beauty and wildlife and its Picture Book Perfect Hilltop towns including Menerbes, a mere 10 minutes drive away, made famous by Peter Mayles 'A Year in Provence'.

This area offers everything the discerning traveller would expect from a relaxed stay in Provence.

Places to visit include:
A Crocodile Farm - A huge tropical greenhouse of 8,000 square meters with more than 400 crocs and giant tortoises.
La Barben zoo - with more than 120 species.
Haribo Museum in Uzes - Find out about the history of liquorice, fruit gum and sweet manufacturing while trying to avoid temptation.
Les Baux de Provence - A definite "must-see" in a spectacular clifftop setting with shops, boutiques, art galleries and shows for the kids.

Golf - There are several courses nearby including Provence Country Club situated in I'Isle sur La Sorgue less than 30 minutes away, Chateau Blanc Golf course close to Avignon and Pont Royal Golf Club situated between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon.

Wine lovers can discover the typical terroirs of Bandol, Palette, Bellet and Cassis to taste full body red wines and aromatic white wines.
