Daily antiques market (8km) at St Augustin sur Mer. Fort Boyard and the Isles of Aix, Re and Oleron and, of course, La Rochelle. Dine at sunset overlooking the Gironde at St Palais. For experienced sailors, hire a yacht from La Palmyre marina. The best oysters in France at Marennes (8km). |
