The campsite is just a couple of minutes drive from Benodet centre. Benodet has a blue flag beach with soft golden sand.
Fouesnant is a small yet very attractive village with a few shops, bars and restaurants and is just down the road from La Mer Blanche campsite. Fouesnant is the cider making capital of the area and is
also famous for the elaborate, traditional French head-dresses.
There is an 18-hole golf course at Fouesnant.
Quimper - 20 minutes - is a beautiful medieval city with an array of shops, bars, museums and restaurants. Plus the famous St Corentin twin-spired Gothic cathedral dating back to the 12th century.
Concarneau - 20 minutes from Benodet - is intriguing with its 'Inter Muros' the Inner Walled City, full of character.
Pont Aven is a small village full of charm and beauty. It has a special place in history due to so many artists, both locally and internationally, capturing the many beautiful scenes onto canvas.
Locronan is a quaint village where no building is less than 200 years old. You will find lots of shops selling local merchandise and a glass works selling beautiful pieces and you can also watch the
glass-blowing.
Carnac is a mysterious pre-historic site with approximately 3,000 ancient stones arranged in parallel lines and stretches for two miles.
Point Du Raz is historically renowned for its smuggling activities.
Lorient and Brest are both a little further afield from the campsite. They are very large cities with all the big shops for serious shoppers and bargain hunters.
The iles des Glénan are a short boat journey away from the coast. Experience a day in idyllic surroundings, clear blue sea and pale sands.
